Paul is growing and seems to be learning more everyday. He has gotten much more accustomed to being on his stomach, an improvement over my previous posting. At night, he is still varying between waking up once or twice, and fusses more when we put him down than he used to. It has been frustrating for me because he used to go to sleep (naps and bedtime) so well! I'd rock him for a few minutes, he'd start drooping his eyes, lay him down and he was out like a light in a couple minutes. We think the extra fussiness has a lot to do with him just getting smarter, realizing that when he is in his room in his crib, he would rather be out with us having fun, so he protests. The protesting is not a lot of fun (its so hard to hear my baby cry and not do anything about it!) but he always calms down and goes to sleep eventually. Hopefully the length of his protesting will continue to get less and less as long as we are consistant.
I started my new job this week, and it went really well. I love the office I am working in. The staff are wonderful and have been very helpful for this transition. Our babysitter is Carol, a woman from our church. She is so sweet, and great with Paul. She has 3 daughters, and her oldest Tori(20 years old) is able to fill in with Paul if some conflict ever arises, as it already did this week (Carol's younger daughter was sick on Thursday, so Tori stayed with Paul that morning instead.) So far things are working out really well.
Here are some recent pics of the little man! Enjoy!
We've still been having issues with swaddling. We tried to wean him off of it, but after a week and a half of still not sleeping well, we went back to it.

What a handsome little guy! I love all the pictures...the ones of him trying to sit up are funny. :)
